Ldh unit of CPI expressed serious concern at the stand still work

Ludhiana: Meeting of the City Committee of the Communist Party of India (CPI) held under the presidentship of Dr Arun Mitra expressed serious concern at the stand still work of the City Centre at Pakhowal Road. There are deep ditches in the area where many cattle have fallen. During the rains water gets collected there and becomes breeding ground for mosquitoes and other insects threatening the spread of diseases. Party demands immediate restarting of the work and completion of the centre. Party also expressed condemned the failure of municipal corporation to provide good roads. Not a single road in the city at present is in proper condition. This leads to damage to the vehicles and accidents. Com Ramesh Rattan City Secretary said that if the corporation does not take steps in this direction immediately, the party will organize agitation on these issues. Others who attended the meeting include Com D P Maur, Gulzar Goria, Gurnam Sidhu, O P Mehta, Vijay Kumar, Ismile Khan and Manjit Singh Boota etc.
